Hello

I’m a fourth-generation San Franciscan living in Noe Valley, a mom of 2 young boys, and someone living with grief.

 

The idea of Griefmates came to me after losing my brother. The weight of that loss was unimaginable, and what stuck out to me the most was how lonely it felt. I didn’t know who to talk to, or how. I kept thinking: there must be others out there feeling this too. People like me, quietly carrying big heartbreaks through ordinary days. But where are they?  

 

This project is also a small offering to this city I love, and the people in it. San Francisco has always been about connection and invention, and I believe there's power in creating new bonds from shared sorrow.
